Fried semolina porridge

Hi guys,
Are you bored of eating normal upma regularly? Then this recipe is a must try.It's damn very tasty and far different from the regular upma. This is my all all time favourite breakfast from my grandma's cookbook.

Ingredients:

  • For thadka
          Oil, urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, jeera, hing    - 1 tsp each
  • Green chilies                                                                 - 4 to 5
  •  onions                                                                           - 1 large onion
  •  curry leaves                                                                  - 1 twig
  • Semolina / sooji                                                             - 1 cup
  • Curd                                                                               - 1 cup

Procedure:

Step 1:
Heat oil in a pan and add all the thadka ingredients.

Step 2:
once the mustard seeds start popping, add green chilies, curry leaves and finely chopped onions.


Step 3:
Add semolina , salt & roast until it changes its color.


Step 4:
Add little by little beaten curd and stir the mixture until it is non-lumpy & starts changing its texture to crisp.


Enoy this hot and healthy fried porridge.
