Lime peel chutney
Ingredients:
- Lime peels - finely chopped 5 whole lime peels
- tamarind juice - 2 Tsp
- jaggery - 1 cup
- salt - as per the taste
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 tsp
For tempering:
- Oil
- Mustard seeds
- Cumin seeds
- curry leaves
Procedure:
Step1:
Starting with tempering, we need to add finely chopped lemon peels into the tempering.
Step 2:
Sprinkle salt & add water and allow the mixture to cook until the lemon peel is completely soft and mushy.
Step 3:
Now, add tamarind juice and all the dry masalas, required amount of salt, jaggery and allow it to cook with the lid closed.
At the end, add diluted rice flour slurry and allow it to boil.
Step 4:
Garnish it with coriander and serve with hot rice/ roti.
