majjige huli/majjiga pulusu/moore kuzhambu

SPICY WHITE PUMPKIN YOGURT GRAVY(majjige huli/pulusu)

INGRIDIENTS:

  • Soaked chana dal                                                                - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies                                                                       - 4 to 5
  • Jeera seeds                                                                         - 2 tsp
  • Ginger                                                                                  - a small piece
  • Fresh grated coconut                                                           - 1 cup
  • Salt                                                                                       -  as per the taste
  • Yogurt                                                                                   - 1 cup
  •  Mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,hing,curry leaves          - 1tsp each
  • white pumpkin                                                                      - 2 cups of chopped pumpkin

PROCEDURE:

Step1:
Add soaked chanal dal ( for 1 hr) into a mixer.

Step 2:
Add green chilies into the mixer.

Step 3:
Add jeera seeds to the mixer.

 Step 4:
add ginger pieces into the mixer.
 Step 5:
Add fresh grated coconut into the mixer.
Step 6:
Add salt as per the taste.

 Step 7:
Add fresh yogurt to the mixer.
 Step 8:
Add oil and the tempering ingridients(mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,jeera, hing) to the pan.
 Step 8:
Add white pumpkin pieces to the pan.
 Step 9:
steil and fry until it turns soft.

Step 10:
add all the grinded paste into the pan and stir well.Add water to adjust the consistency.


 Enjoy the dish with hot rice / roti.
