Bhel puri in 5 mins & masala puri puri in 15 mins
Bhel puri & Masala puri
Ingredients:
For Masala puri:
- Green peas - 2 cups
- Potatoes - 4
- Tomatoes - 2
- Onions - 1
- Salt - as per the taste
- Garam masala, chat masala, Roasted dhaniya powder - 1 tsp each
- Papdi - handfull of crushed papdi
- Chopped coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Hing - 1 tsp
- Mamra (borgulu / murmaralu) - 1 cup
- Onions - 1
- Tomatoes - 1
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Peanuts - 1/2 cup
- Papdi - handfull crushed
- Salt, redchili powder, chat masala - 1tsp each
Procedure for Masala puri:
Step 1:
Boil the green peas, potatoes & tomatoes by adding a pinch of salt and turmeric powder for 5 whistles and smash them completely.
Step 2:
Melt the butter & oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions to it.
Step 3:
Once the onions are softened, add hing, red chili powder, salt, roasted coriander powder, garam masala and stir well.
Step 4:
Now, add the boiled an smashed mixture to the pan and stir well.
Step 5:
Cook for 10 mins and turn off the gas.
Procedure for Bhel puri:
Step 1:
Add finely chopped onions in a bowl.
Step 2:
Add finely chopped tomatoes in the same bowl.
Step 3:
Add finely chopped coriander leaves.
Step 4:
Fry the peanuts to add the cruchiness to the bhel puri.
Step 5:
Add salt, red chili powder, chat masala and mix well.
Step 6:
Add crushed papdi and mix all these together.
Step 7:
Now add the main ingredient i.e mamra and mix all these ingredients.
