Instant chakli / chakri

Ingredients:

  • Rice flour                           -  3 cups
  • Dahlia powder                   - 1 cup
  • Salt                                      - as per the taste
  • Red chili powder               - 2 tsps
  • Hing & hot ghee                - 1/4 tsp and 2 spoons respectively
  • Jeera seeds                         - 1/4 tsp

Procedure:

Step 1:
Dry roast the rice flour for 5 mins.


Step 2:
Grind the dahlia into a fine powder and add it to the heated rice flour.


Step 3:
Add salt, red chili powder, jeera seeds, hing & heated ghee to it to make it into a soft dough.


Step 4:
place the chakli plate at the bottom of the chakli maker.


Step 5:
Place the dough little by little in batches.


Step 6:
Rotate the handle of the chakli maker to obtain a spiral shape and deep fry them until golden brown.



Chakli is ready to store for at least a month if stored  in an air tight container.
