Raw banana Matodi


Ingredients:(serves 2)

  • Fresh grated coconut                         - 1 cup
  • Green chilies                                       - 4 to 5
  • Jeera seeds                                          - 1 tsp
  • Ginger                                                  - 1 tsp
  • Soaked chana dal                                - 1/4 cup
  • Raw banana                                          - 4
  • Wheat flour                                          - 1/2 cup
  • Salt                                                         - as per the taste

Tempering ingredients:

  • Mustard seeds                                   -  1tsp
  • Jeera seeds                                        - 1 tsp
  • Hing                                                    - a pinch
  • Chana dal                                           - 1 tsp

Procedure:

Step 1:
Blend jeera seeds, freshly grated coconut, green chilies, ginger, salt, soaked chana dal into a fine paste.


Step 2:
Heat oil in a pan, add tempering ingredients and allow it to splutter, then add chopped raw bananas to it.


Step 3:
Add the ground paste and mix well until the raw flavor is gone.


Step 4:
Once the raw flavor is completely gone, then add wheat flour and stir until it is dry.


Step 5:
Serve with hot rice or roti.
